I have MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensivities) and that is why I looked for a mask. Donna in Mesa, AZ

Although I have the silk, and 100% cotton masks from I CAN BREATHE , the Honeycomb pollution mask is my favorite. It is awesome. It is like my second skin. I could not get out of the house without it. I could not go to church, to grocery, to doctor’s office, to library …to anywhere. There are times I’ve had to wear it at home when the oven went into self-clean mode by itself. Or when the neighbor next door grills out doors, or uses fabric softener in their clothes dryer I put my wonderful I CAN BREATHE mask on to dash outdoors to carry out the trash, feed the cats and return quickly back in.

I’ve tried masks from Lowes and Wal-mart. Don’t remember the brand. They are too cumbersome and hot and smelly and I just can’t breathe in them. The I Can Breathe Mask is great. I carry it in my jeans pocket when not wearing it in the car between stores, etc. It’s so light on my face that I’ve gotten used to it and hardly notice it there… sort of like after you get used to wearing glasses you see them but you don’t really notice them. I use the I Can Breathe mask for sealing off offending irritants from my nose and lungs. My MCS is severe enough that I have had anaphylactic shock from other people wearing perfume before I found this mask. I almost died on the spot in the store. The I CAN BREATHE Honeycomb mask has not only improved the quality of my life but actually saved me from the ER and saved my life on more than one occasion. I live in a city of several million and even though we live in a suburb house neighborhood there are chemicals everywhere. Also the contents of the Honeycomb I tolerate well, other masks I do not. It is very comfortable and the adjustable straps are wonderful. I’ve worn the plain white Honeycomb for 1 ½ years now and just this week got a Lace one. WOW!!! It is really pretty and lady like. I love it. My illness has stripped so much of my ‘female’ lifestyle (no make-up; can’t dye my hair anymore; allergic to earrings and I had a whole standing jewel chest of them; wear all cotton clothes which is mostly blue jeans and a tee except a dress to Church) so this LACE mask with a rose is just wonderful. Thanks, Adrian!!!

The most difficult thing about wearing a mask was at first people were afraid to talk to me. Maybe I was afraid they wouldn’t know I was under here. But once I started just SMILING at people that I passed, they noticed my eyes were smiling and smiled back or spoke to me. Now I am constantly talking to strangers in the store, just like I used to. I guess the hardest part now is that I don’t have enough time to tell all the people who stop me and ask about my mask the full version of just how wonderful God is to us in all circumstances, providing for my needs within this strange and demanding environmental illness. And to tell them how looking and finding the I CAN BREATHE web site led me to the first help in fighting my illness.

God IS good. As far as I am concerned Adrian and her masks are heaven sent. I was desperate after having anaphylactic shock in the store from someone else wearing perfume and I was looking on the internet for a mask and I CAN BREATHE sounded better and looked more PEOPLE FRIENDLY than any I saw so I ordered it the night before going to the specialist. It was on Adrian’s web site that I first head the word Multiple Chemical Sensivity. I thought "Oh, my word! That sounds just like me!" The next day I was as a loss when the allergy specialist here told me "You have a life threatening illness called MCS and there is no cure and no treatment. Not in traditional medicine. And you have the worst case I’ve ever seen. If you were in Canada I’d know where to send you. Any help, if any, you will find in alternative health care and most insurances won’t cover any if you can find it. I’m sorry, I don’t have a clue where to begin to send you." I Can Breathe gave me hope with my mask on the way that I could at least be somewhat safer while looking for help like a needle in a haystack. Adrian, I am so grateful!

In the last 1 ½ years since I’ve discovered this journey I’ve been on has a name called MULTIPLE CHEMICAL SENSIVITIY I’ve found that the only non-invasive help I can find is to clean up allergies in diet (just found I’m allergic to wheat, soy and corn), use only pure and very simple natural cleaners like vinegar and baking soda and health food store products, make your house as non-toxic as possible, pray and trust God for each day and each breath. And breathe. Breathe and live each day as full as you can. With the help of the I CAN BREATHE mask that is a reality not a dream. Thank you God in heaven, for I Can Breathe Masks.

Sincerely grateful, Donna in Maricopa County, AZ
